VINTAGE 2" WOOD/WOODEN WHEELS~12~ORIGINAL for Use> ROLLER SKATES(D) ORIGINALLY these vintage wood/wooden wheels were used on very old type WOOD skates(the type that you had to wear a shoe and tighten the skates to your shoe! ) If you have time to check ebay or also do a SEARCH for 1880's wood skates-these wheels are the very same style and type shown. The rod that held the wheels to the wood skates had a COTTER pin for holding them on the wood skates. About 2" across X 7/8" wide. They came from an estate in upper Michigan from a fella who repaired skates early on in his career. Almost all of them have some type of spotting to the outer surface-probably due to storage. They are hardwood.they appear to me as MAPLE(but that is my own opinion). The outer surface shows they were probably never used for rolling. They all have some discoloration because they have been in storage. The photo shown is just an example. The photo makes them look cleaner than in person. VINTAGE for many uses as well as old roller skates. Many used for these great old wheels one being~> toy repair wheels. Certainly if you have an old wood pair of skates that need wheel replacements or other uses? I also have several old skate rink sticker/decals also listed--please take time to check those also.
