Description
The primary purpose of this job is to polish parts to the print finish and to ensure the parts are dimensionally correct.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES &
Responsibilities:
Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
Reads blueprints, having a basic understanding of geometric tolerancing.
Reads micrometers, calipers, height gages, and use of the comparator.
Understands basics on Metrology and surface plate equipment.
Polishes prints and processes provided to them.
Reports any equipment problems to their supervisor.
Responsible for performing efficiently, completing required paperwork correctly, and performing set-ups.
Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications:(education & experience)
Minimum Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum
Experience:At least 2 years of polishing or machining experience.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Basic blueprint reading and a general understanding of the use of measuring instruments.
Polish with a variety of belts and buffing wheels.
Polished welds.
