Summary
Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager and Nutrition Services Supervisor, functions of the
Nutritional Services Host will focus on customer service in a variety of area s in retail, patient services, and
coffee kiosks. This position is responsible for excellence in customer service in all aspects of our service areas.
Responsibilities will include patient food service delivery, basic food preparation, Cafeteria and Coffee Kiosks
Guests/Staff meal service, cashiering, set up, serving and clean-up of catering functions, tube-feedings, and Call
Center functions. The responsibilities will also include following all Food Safety regulations and sanitation
guidelines. This position may be required to work at any/all Parkview entities.
Education Qualifications
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
Experience Qualifications
One year preferred in health care food service preferred in a healthcare environment or restaurant food service.
Additional Qualificiations
Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates
ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to use departmental
equipment, as outlined by the department. Ability to perform the physical demands of frequent standing,
walking, stooping and bending.
This positionmay cover all Parkview Health locations in Fort Wayne. Hours are variable - day, evening, night and weekend coverage asneeded.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
