Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer
Candidate will be responsible for transitioning new product designs from design, development, production launch, daily manufacturing, and finally maintenance
Design - acts as the plant liaison on issues related to the design, including manufacturing, processing, plant standardization, and cost issues
Development - evolves the initial design model to reconcile performance needs with plant capabilities, and translates it into a workable plant specification
Production launch - introduces new designs into production, and supports regular production re-starts
Maintenance - provides guidance and leadership for plant quality and production improvement
Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer
BSME preferred, or related technical engineering degree required
Must have proven experience (Coop for recent graduates or 3
years) in the areas of automated manufacturing
Proficiency needed with CAD and 3D modeling software (Pro/Eng, ACAD Inventor, Solidworks)
