Senior Power Engineer - Ft Wayne, IN - World-class steel manufacturer in the Midwest seeks to hire an experienced Power Engineer for their state-of-the-art, non-union mini-mill. The successful candidate will possess a unique combination of technical skills and demonstrated ability to strive in a lean and nimble organization. 2 Technicians report to this role.
Responsibilities for the Power Engineer
Sr. Power Engineer - 2 direct reports - must be hands-on person
2 direct reports (1 electrician focusing on switcher and power the other focusing on controls)
Provide electrical maintenance support to power distribution systems, water treatment and overall plant
Work on new equipment installation projects and Maintain plant power systems
Requirements for the Power Engineer
BSEE or BSEET
Experience with substation, relay and transformer maintenancePreventive maintenance on transformers
Experience with substation, relay and transformer maintenance
Preventive maintenance on transformers
High voltage experience
Work on new equipment installation projects
Maintain plant power systems
Experience with Allen Bradley
Strong PLC controls background
