This position will coordinate and communicate shipment assignments between drivers and the schedulers. Responsible for problem solving and accurate data integrity. In addition while working with their team, they will be able to help drive the profitability of the network by keeping drivers compliant and securing the most profitable loads.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
1. Monitor and review each trip issued. Position will look for opportunities to add additional shipments into a driver's current trip coordinating load dates, size and geographic locations at origin, destination and while en route. Clearly communicates expectations to the fleet and agents in regards to service, rules, policy, procedures etc. Maintain data integrity of all applicable systems.
_2. _ Handle calls and messages from drivers and agents to resolve disputes and/or problems. Receive calls from agents regarding updates and/or changes on shipments and loads, then update the system and relay pertinent information to appropriate parties.

_3. _ Ensure proper application of van line procedures to individual shipment price programs and national account contracts.

_4. _ Evaluate processes within Dispatch and Planning functions to improve efficiencies for all members of business segment. Suggest improvements to management and follow through with implementation which may include training of fellow employees.

_5. _ Assist in special projects, Excel and Word required in most of these projects. Work as a back up for planners on vacation.
Qualifications
Required Skills: Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills needed and a fundamental geographic understanding. Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office products required.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred
