This position is located in Fort Wayne, IN.
The Master Scheduler develops and maintains a master schedule including detailed schedules for an operating unit, inventory of materials, and delivery requirements utilizing the sales forecast and production capacity plan and the Sales and Operating Planning process (SOP). Establishes and monitors production schedules to meet customer requirements. These duties include, but are not limited to:
Creates and maintains slotting plans
Communicates Ship Dates to the Sales group
Develops and maintains a plant production schedule including detailed schedules for each model, inventory of materials, and delivery requirements
Consolidates production plan and schedule
Employs computer-automated production planning and forecasting tools
Schedules Production according to production plan
Continually reviews the production schedule
Reviews inventory of materials against present and anticipated sales orders.
Maintains production schedules, reviewing frequently to adjust for changes
Determines manufacturing production plan and releases to manufacturing.
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
Basic
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in IT, Computer-Science, Materials Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent desired
Requires outstanding Excel spreadsheet skills
Requires IT database management best practices experience.
Strong analytical skills are required
Preferred
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years' experience in production planning or material control in a manufacturing environment
Requires in depth knowledge of production practices and scheduling
APICS certification is preferred
Leadership experience is preferred
Lean and/or TPS experience is preferred
