The Role
As a Senior
financial analyst
, you will perform recurring and ad hoc analysis and reporting as required for the business unit. You will serve as an contributing leader in the development of profit / loss reviews, plan versus actual analysis, forecasting, and plan developemnt. Your role will also have multiple points of interaction requiring an ability to properly socialize ideas and working cooperatively across diverse disciplines.
Responsibilities
Analysis
Produces monthly and quarterly financial reports to help drive decision making, analyze performance versus expectations, and to align financials with the strategic intents
Produces, maintains and delivers developed forecasts that incorporate market conditions, seasonality, internal constraints and opportunities and pipeline data
Provides subject matter expertise for your respective area by being knowledgeable of the people, the projects, the trends, and the seasonality of the business
Manages timelines and expectations for your area of focus to ensure alignment with the business needs and enterprise goals
Creates and develops new reports that effectively communicate the financial picture and meet the ever changing needs of the business
Creates, reviews and analyzes P&L; statements that can range from simple operational views to more advanced assigned iterations of expense and revenue
Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across department
Performs various ad hoc analysis relating to both your area and other areas of LFGD
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging trends for business segment, assesses the impact and collaborates with senior
management
to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
Relationship Management
Develop relationships with your finance peers to both serve as an informal leader of various processes and to participate as knowledgeable contributor
Foster a collaborative mindset that harnesses relationships across the organization to ensure the completion of assignments, completeness of analysis, and the qualitative insight relevant for executive review
Requirements
Education
Undergraduate degree. Education concentration in Finance or
accounting
preferred.
MBA and/or CPA/CFA designation, or progress towards obtaining is desirable
Experience
5-7
years of experience in finance or accounting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and capable of creating pivot tables, PowerPoints, and displaying data for review at an executive level
Knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion, and Business Objects a plus
A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
Drives performance targets to completion
