Supervisor, Production
Huvepharma, Inc is seeking a positive, self-motivated Supervisor for its Biological Manufacturing operations in Lincoln, NE.
This position will oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
They will be responsible for leading and motivating a team to achieve targets while maintaining a positive work environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field of study strongly preferred (Biology, Microbiology, Virology, or other relevant field) Minimum of 3-5 years working in the animal health industry required Prior experience leading a team of technicians, in a Supervisor or Lead role required Experience in either fermentation or bacterial growth is a plus Experience in formulation and filling is a plus TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Solid understanding of department processes, equipment, technology.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Experience in performance management and employee development.
Familiarity with Lean principles is a plus.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Knowledge of inventory management and control.
Experience in implementing and maintaining process improvements.
Ability to train and mentor new employees.
Strong decision-making skills with a focus on results.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and coordinate daily activities of team members.
Set department targets and monitor progress to ensure goals are met.
Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance and efficiency.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain quality control standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth process flow.
Schedule and allocate resources effectively to meet demands.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
Implement and maintain Lean principles to optimize processes.
Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
Resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Communicate goals and targets to team members and ensure understanding.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
Manage disciplinary actions and grievances according to company policies.
Collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure equipment is well-maintained.
Keep accurate records and report on performance metrics.
Lead by example and promote a positive work culture among team members.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
