Description:

Camp Red Cedar boasts 57 acres of woods, meadows, trails, a 10-acre lake and sandy beach. Each year the camp serves hundreds of children and adults through inclusive summer camps, recreational therapy and riding programs, and community events.


Camp Red Cedar is looking for a Barn Hand to work Monday “ Friday 8a “ 4p and/or as needed.


Pay rate:
$10/hr.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain upkeep of the barn and the surrounding area



Responsibilities:


  • Complete opening and closing task lists.
  • Clean stalls and other outdoor areas.
  • Feed all livestock according to their horse-centered plan.
  • Keep aisle-ways and work areas tidy, swept, de-cobbed, and free of unnecessary clutter.
  • Keep water buckets and tanks clean and full of water.
  • Report animal health problems.
  • Report maintenance that needs to be done to physical structures (for example, stalls, stall doors, barn doors, etc.)
  • Other barn and facility tasks as needed.

OTHER DUTIES:


  • Continually innovate and streamline processes and procedures.
  • Maintain good attendance while employed.
  • Comply with standards to assure the health and safety of all staff and clients we serve.
  • Report any reasonable suspicion of crime to immediate supervisor


Qualifications:


  • Diploma/GED (preferably, but not essential)
  • 18 years of age or older (preferably, but not essential)
  • Have reliable transportation

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
