Working to create best-in-class strategies, breakthrough creative content and leveraging both established and emerging platforms, this individual will direct all social media activities to help engage new and existing customers in ways that ultimately drive acquisition and retention Sweetwater.
Accountable for the performance of our social media efforts, the Head of Social Media will develop comprehensive plans that drive awareness, affinity, customer engagement, and increased conversion.
Working collaboratively with the brand, content, and creative teams, this candidate will build and lead a group that will harness the users, technology, and the creative power of social media to build the Sweetwater brand efficiently and effectively for all audiences.
Working to develop robust, integrated social media strategies that drive engagement, conversion, advocacy for Sweetwater, this individual will develop and lead a team that can create and implement highly sharable content that is creative, attention-grabbing, and on-brand.
This leader will be expected to work closely with the brand, HR, creative and PR teams to ensure that social media plans are effectively integrated into brand marketing and paid media efforts, as well as leverage any potential earned and owned media opportunities.
They will partner with key social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter, as well as seek out and develop new and emerging platforms that can help us reach new audiences and grow our customer base and brand.
The ideal candidate will have developed highly creative social media marketing campaigns (preferably in the retail space) and will have demonstrated the ability to think big, while being able to implement innovative ideas in ways that create significant social sharing and PR attention.
They will have a thorough understanding of the capabilities of social media and its ability to connect with a wide range of audiences, and how to use those capabilities to develop a range of strategies and content forms that social media users want to share with their networks.
In this role, you will work cooperatively with other internal stakeholders across Sweetwater, including business leads, merchandisers, performance marketers and brand leaders, while helping to install the infrastructure for us to create at a rapid pace and test, deliver, learn, and adapt.
The objective is to find fast, efficient, creative, and effective ways to explore the multiple dimensions of social media, test new opportunities, and integrate them successfully.
The right candidate will offer a unique blend of creative instincts, social media marketing aptitude, measurement, servant leadership, and excellent management skills.

Responsibilities:
Own the development of a strategic social media marketing plan and its associated budget across campaigns and channels--the primary focus will start with organic social.
Work with platforms (directly and indirectly) and other partners with the goal to find fast, creative, and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative social media marketing plans that connect with customers, maximize engagement, drive share-ability, value, and advocacy.
Lead the development and direct the implementation of a wide range of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live-action, and other content forms that best utilize the technology available on any given social media/digital platform.
Work collaboratively with Sweetwater teams across business units to develop and execute creative ideas, plans and strategies.
Own the content development relationships with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and other primary/key partnerships.
Provide inspirational and creative and thought leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of target audiences.
Plan and manage campaign executions, on time, on budget, to scope.
Build, lead and manage a team of talented professionals.
The ideal candidate will be a combination of business leader, visionary, inventor, builder, and operator.

Qualifications:
Significant management and leadership experience 7
years' experience in social media marketing and creative development 7
years of management experience Experience leading and building organizations (5-25 people) Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms Excellent problem-solving techniques Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure Clear, confident communication abilities Effective time-management skills Significant experience leading a brand's social media initiatives Keen understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies Experience with all social media tools Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Capable with database query languages such as SQ Large social media following preferred Retail experience Sweetwater Ideal Team-Player:
