Fort Wayne, IN Fort Wayne, IN Full-time Full-time $17 - $21 an hour $17 - $21 an hour Machine Operator/Production Associate The Production Associate is responsible for the productivity, efficiency, quality and safety of assigned production processes.
This position will be cross-trained and proficient in three departments within the operation:
Drawing, Annealing, and Respool.
The job requires the ability to know and be productive in each of the capacities for purposes of maximizing flexibility of the operation.
The Associate will be specifically responsible for:
Uptime of the machine pertaining to setups, basic mechanical problems, quality issues, etc.
Quality of product produced.
Associate will be responsible for testing product in process to ensure individual customer standards are exceeded.
Efficiency of equipment and attainment of production schedules as defined by Supervisor Involvement in projects and other tasks as assigned by Management Adherence to all safety standards and cleaning and organization requirements as defined by Safety processes and 6S program Job Requirements Good math skills Proven success in a mechanically oriented role Ability to lift up to 80 lbs Prior work experience working with measurements and devices Ability to navigate fluidly on Computer ISO Quality systems knowledge, preferred Must pass pre-employment drug screening Must be eligible to work in the United States Skills Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to multitask Pays close attention to detail and very thorough Self-motivated Ability to follow written and/or verbal instruction Good problem-solving skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
