LSSI spent years researching local and national workforce development programs, seeking to understand the types of programs that are most effective in creating lasting change for systemically affected and unemployed individuals.

The Director of LSSI Works is responsible for the start-up, strategic growth, and sustainability of the LSSI Works workforce initiative.
This person will lead a team to help those who are systemically affected or unemployed build the personal and professional skills needed to obtain sustainable employment.
This role requires a high level of adaptability as the Director will engage in leading initiatives to develop and implement recruitment strategies to build, attract program participants as well as employment and referral partners.
Key aspects of the Director's role are running a start-up, project management, strategic development, relationship management, conceptual and futuristic thinking, community engagement, teambuilding, vision casting, budgeting and fundraising.

This role requires a high level of strategic capabilities, as the Director will be inaugurating, developing, and growing LSSI Works for long term success.
The Director will lead initiatives to create a robust participant pipeline, training, and placement strategies, as well as building relationships with external stakeholders.
The Director will report to The Chief Program Officer and will work to establish standards and measures of accountability.

? Engages in futuristic thinking and strategic planning to set program direction and anticipates challenges and builds sustainability within the program.
? Responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously evaluating participant outcomes.
? Stays abreast of best workforce development practices and establishes standards.
? Establishes KPIs and evaluates all objectives while providing accurate reporting and analysis.
? Ensure participants receive comprehensive services in line with LSSI's strategic direction, organizational goals, and has maximum impact.
? Hires, develops, leads, coaches, and manages a high performing team of service professionals.
Relationship Management and Business Development Oversees the growth of employment and referral partners to increase program participation.
Drives and coordinates the implementation of new service line development.
Stewards and enhances relationships with Cara's affiliate partners.
Assists in grant applications and seeking alternative funding.
Nurtures strong positive relationships with community partners and represents LSSI to the community, stakeholders, within professional organizations and the media.
Program Management Creates and executes a strategic plan and casts a clear vision for LSSI Works within the strategic plan of Lutheran Social Services, Indiana.
Ensures program policies and procedures are maintained and followed.
Fully manages program budget and revenue generation.
Provides input, generates proposals, and monitors budget compliance.
Manages program and delivery of service according to the standards within the critical elements and Counsel on Accreditation (COA) standards.
Engages in strategic planning to set program direction, anticipate challenges, and build sustainability.
Actively oversees the internal and external referral programs.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business management, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields required.
Five years of related experience in program management, staffing, or workforce development preferred.
Experience in management of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases required.
Valid driver's license, in force auto insurance and vehicle for full time business use required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
