Bookkeeper
Overview Serves as the Accounts Receivable/Payable contact for the food service department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities Verifies all dollars received from all retail locations, dining halls and catering.
Prepares deposits daily.
Notifies FSD and Retail Manager of overages or shortages.
Manages petty cash with petty cash slips and receipts.
Makes sure all banks, line boxes have correct change.
Posts invoices, and transfers, on spreadsheet - must have manager's signature.
Verifies monthly statements from vendors.
E-Mails spreadsheets to Home Office weekly with backup information.
Ensures that the safe is locked at all times.
Answers the main phone line in the Dining Services Office.
Opens and distributes mail.
Maintains rebate system.
Fills in for the Administrative Assistant, Files all necessary forms and copies.
Assists with student inquiries and questions.
Assists the Catering Manager with spreadsheets.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands/Work Environment The Bookkeeper position involves working in an office environment with responsibility to operate standard office equipment and technology.
May require extended working hours at times.
