ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReviewedDateDUTIES Preventative maintenance of the equipment; Dismantles or partially dismantles machines to gain access to defective part and removes part using appropriate hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers; Repairs parts, using hand tools, or obtains replacement parts from appropriate, economical source; Reassembles machine making necessary adjustments to insure efficient or proper operation; Analyzes mechanical problems and makes appropriate assignments and reports; Troubleshoots problems to determine most effective solutions; Ability to work from prints, diagrams, instruction sheets, manuals and oral instructions; Ability to make minor repairs to motors, wires, blown fuses, etc.
; Ability to run conduit and pull wire for new and/or existing services.
Ability to complete tasks within timeframe set, meeting the required quality standards; Handles routine checks and inspection of plant electrical equipment; Completes all required reports and forms according to plant policy and departmental; procedures; Observes Safety rules consistent with company policy and OSHA requirements; Follow all Calico procedures and processes with main focus on Maintenance and Manufacturing.
Performs other duties as assigned including filling in for production needs an required.
Qualification Requirements:
Complete JFA-8019 Training Checklist-Maintenance REQUIREMENTS High school diploma with supplemental courses and training in related field of maintenance; Five years combined experience in a manufacturing maintenance position and manufacturing; Knowledge of the operation of machines being repaired and ability to read blueprints, drawings, or specifications of the machines; Knowledge of national and local safety and inspection codes for effected areas; Practical knowledge of advanced methods of repair and maintenance of molding and related equipment; Knowledge of reading electrical prints, hydraulics prints and troubleshooting electrical problems.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Skills and Knowledge Work is of some complexity requiring a moderate degree of decision making in the application of procedures and methods to determine appropriate remedies for diverse problems.
Incumbent must have knowledge of the operation of numerous processes and machines.
Work requires practical knowledge of tools, blueprint reading and planning and layout.

Accuracy is needed to ensure resolution to maintenance problems.
Care and skill is needed to protect tools and prevent injury.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Incumbent works with frequent exposure to dust, grease, extreme temperature, and is frequently involved in work that involves a chance of major injury or loss of life.
Physical effort is exerted regularly for sustained periods and includes moderate lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending.
Incumbent may be required to perform repetitive work with moderate lifting requiring up to 55 lbs.
PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS Incumbent has frequent daily contact with staff and crews throughout the department and some limited contact with the general public.
These contacts involve explanation and/or interpretation to provide service, carryout policy and maintain coordination within the department.
SUPERVISION This position supervises no one.
