Maintenance Technician
Summary:
The Master Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of industrial maintenance functions including facilities maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
The employee will apply advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles to complete the assigned job tasks with a high degree of attention to safety and maintenance best practices.
Facilities:
Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities.
Advanced skill in using a variety of power tools, hand tools, and equipment, typically used in the construction, installation, and repair of industrial facilities and equipment.
Advanced knowledge of standard plumbing equipment assembly, installation, and repair, to include flow and drainage.
Skilled in the use of standard painting tools and techniques.
Assist other Maintenance personnel on complex jobs or projects.
Maintain spare parts and materials crib area.
Operate forklifts and company vehicles.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics to perform required work.
Use computers for access to maintenance software programs and document control software.
Have advanced knowledge of machining operations such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
Advanced level experience with welding methods.
Electrical:
Follow wiring diagrams to determine details of electrical work for repair and installation of equipment.
Use electrical test instrumentation such as digital multimeters and megohm meters for troubleshooting of electrical devices.
Knowledge of electric circuitry, 3 phase power systems and power distribution within the facility.
Troubleshoots and repairs various types of electrical controls, drives, communications, plant power, etc.
Beginning knowledge of PLC's, HMI's, and robots.
Mechanical Repairs, maintains, installs, relocates, and troubleshoots a variety of industrial facility machinery.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and carpentry.
Performs routine preventive maintenance on facility and equipment.
Use common measuring instruments including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, tape.

Perform the job in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by complying with all safety, regulatory and environmental rules, policies, and procedures.

Required Education and Experience Internal and External candidates Qualify in one of the following:
Complete an Associate Degree in a technical field such as Engineering Technology or Industrial Maintenance (e.
g.
:
Ivy Tech IndustrialTechnology programs, Mechanical, Electrical, or Welding) AND 5-yearsIndustrial Maintenance experience.
Complete a Journeyman Trades program AND 5-years Industrial Maintenance experience.
A High School Diploma or equivalent AND 8-years Industrial Maintenance experience.
Initial On the Job Training Candidate must be willing to participate in on-going skills training.
Training for this position will be provided by current maintenance mechanics and other Trelleborg personnel on 1st shift for 4 - 6 months based on the employees training progression.
The new employee will then move to the shift they bid on or were hired for.
