We are seeking individuals who are interested in helping ACPL further our mission of enriching the community through lifelong learning and discovery.
A Security Officer at the main library provides a safe and secure environment for customers and staff; processes and delivers in-coming and out-going mail and parcels; receives and relays messages and information within and outside of the library; provides assistance to customers as they check-out and return materials.
This is a benefit eligible 40 hour per week position.
The second shift schedule is from 3pm to 11pm Monday through Thursday, 12pm to 8pm Friday and Saturday and 11am to 7pm Sunday.
Weekend days will alternate.
These hours are subject to change as needed for special events.

Requirements High School Diploma/GED; AND one (1) year of customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
A valid driver's license.
Allen County Public Library will invest in your career by certifying you in the following within six (6) months from your date of employment:
Fork Lift Operator certification NARCAN use certification First Aid, CPR and AED training Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position starts at $14 per hour and up based on work experience.
